This is a wonderful book published by the Chicken House, priced at £12.99. Written by award winning German writer Cornelia Funke (cool name or what?!) it's a beautifully crafted fantasy story that'll be loved by people of all ages. It's the first of a trilogy (the 2nd book is called Inkblood) and is soon to be made into a film by the people who made Lord of the Rings, so you'll have a whole new story to sink your teeth into, after the LOTR trilogy has finished.

Actually, the second book is called Inkspell, not Inkblood. But that might be the title of the 3rd.
