What was the argument about?
The only thing I can suggest is either just avoid your family for a bit, and just let them cool off, or if it's a really serious matter then just sit down and ask to talk to them properly.

I'm dead upset for some reason for what someone that I've never met once EVER said on a message board. They said I was a nerd and probably had no friends... I do and I know I do. I know I should just ignore it and get on with my life. But I'm kinda down about it...
